Turning Earth
Can you imagine a community of ceramic craftsmen working under the same roof? And if we add a studio located in the heart of an old train station? As these are just some of the characteristics of Turning Earth. Located east of London, this community has community spaces where, independently, artists and artisans of the ceramics can work. The project is open and anyone can sign up as a member, as long as space is available and places are free. Even so, the visit is worth it and is most inspiring.
Alleghany Meadows
On our list could not miss a craftsman like Alleghany Meadows. In his pottery workshop, located in Colorado (United States) he makes pieces of oriental influence. His unique style, neutral and elegant, hints at his training in Japan and Nepal, where he works with local artisans. Today, he is a founder of Artstream Nomadic Gallery, co-founder of Harvey / Meadows Gallery, Aspen (Colorado) and co-founder of the Study of Arts and Works (SAW), Carbondale, Colorado. As a curiosity, he makes his exhibitions in a classic caravan, giving an original touch to the presentation of his products.

Finally, one of our favourite handmade pottery workshops: Illyria Pottery. Katie Coston is an English girl with a passion for natural objects and textures. From his Oxford workshop he makes unique ceramic pieces. From crockery to vases, Katie designs elegant and modern designs.
